Cut beefsteak tomatoes in thick slices. On a large platter, overlap with slices of mozzarella cheese and thinly sliced red onion. Drizzle a little olive oil over all, grind over pepper, a little salt and sprinkle over slivered fresh basil. Best at room temperature.
