StoringCelery

To keep celery for weeks, wrap them in aluminum foil and place them in the refrigerator.
The standard method of storing in plastic bags keeps celery fresh for only 3 or 4 days in the fridge.

Store In Paper

Store celery in paper bags, not plastic. Leave the stalks alone until ready to use. This will help the celery stay fresh for a longer period of time.
Note: this applies to lettuce as well.

New Vegetable Washes

Fruit and vegetable washes are appearing in supermarket shelves. While these products are safe to use, nothing indicates that they are any more effective than using cold water and a vegetable brush, when a brush is appropriate. So, you just might be spending more money than you need to.
